Sportbar.casino is an independent editorial project operated from the Netherlands. We review and compare online casino operators to help players make informed decisions before registering or depositing. This page explains how we work, how we earn money, and how we keep those two things separate.
Who Produces Our Content
Reviews and guides on Sportbar.casino are written and edited by named authors — you can read their profiles on the Authors page. Each piece of content is assigned to a primary author and passes through an editorial check before publication.
We do not publish anonymous reviews. We do not accept guest posts from casino operators or their marketing partners.
How We Select Casinos to Review
We choose casinos to review based on one or more of the following factors:
- Operator is licensed in a recognised jurisdiction (MGA, UKGC, Curacao, or equivalent)
- Operator is active in one of our primary markets: Netherlands, Australia, Ireland, or the UK
- Player interest, search volume, or reader enquiry
- Operator has approached us — though a commercial relationship is never a precondition for review
We may decline to review operators that have no verifiable licensing information, a documented history of withholding withdrawals, or that target minors.
How We Evaluate Casinos
Every casino is scored using a consistent internal framework across five weighted categories. The scoring system is documented in full on our Rating Methodology page. In brief:
- Trust & Safety (30 pts) — licensing, KYC transparency, responsible gambling tools, operator clarity
- Payouts & Payments (20 pts) — withdrawal speed, method availability, fees, limits
- Bonus Fairness (20 pts) — wagering requirements, max bet rules, game restrictions, time limits
- Product Quality (20 pts) — game library, mobile usability, support availability
- UX & Transparency (10 pts) — navigation, cashier clarity, geo restriction disclosure
Scores can be penalised for missing licensing information, hidden withdrawal rules, poor KYC transparency, or other safety-related gaps. A casino cannot score high purely on bonuses if its trust signals are weak.
Our Affiliate Relationship
Sportbar.casino earns revenue through affiliate commissions. All outbound casino links on this site are affiliate links. When a user registers with a casino through a link on our site, we may receive a commission from that operator.
This is how the project is funded. We are transparent about it.
Commercial relationships do not determine which casinos we review, how we score them, or what conclusions we publish. Casinos are evaluated using the same methodology regardless of whether they have an affiliate relationship with us. An operator with a commercial relationship does not receive a higher rating as a result of that relationship.
We have declined to prominently feature casinos that scored poorly even where a commercial relationship existed. We have published critical reviews of casinos we link to.
How We Keep Content Current
Casino products change: bonuses are revised, payment methods are added or removed, licensing changes. We update reviews when we detect material changes in:
- Withdrawal terms, limits or processing times
- Bonus conditions (wagering, max bet, game restrictions)
- Licensing or operator ownership information
- Payment method availability
- Significant UX or platform changes

Corrections Policy
If factual errors are identified — whether by a reader, an operator, or an internal review — we correct them. We do not silently delete incorrect content. Where a material correction is made to a review, we note it in the page with a correction notice.
We do not remove negative content from reviews at the request of operators, nor do we alter ratings in exchange for commercial consideration.
Editorial Independence
Sportbar.casino editorial decisions — which casinos to cover, how to rate them, what conclusions to publish — are made by the editorial team and are not subject to override by commercial partners. Operators may contact us to flag factual inaccuracies. They may not contact us to change a rating, remove a criticism, or alter editorial language.
