Every online slot runs on a Random Number Generator (RNG) — software producing thousands of random sequences per second regardless of whether anyone is playing. The math inside each slot is locked in during development — operators cannot change it. What they can sometimes choose is the RTP variant: some studios release the same game at different RTP levels (e.g. 94% and 96%), and the casino picks which one to run. Volatility
